About Us

Arms of Hope is a Christian 501(c)(3) non-profit care organization. We assist single-mother families and children in need. Through its Residential Child Care, Together, College and Career, Right Start, and Outreach Ministry programs, Arms of Hope is committed to providing a haven and Christian environment for children and single-mother families by helping them avoid homelessness, poverty, abuse and neglect and by leading them to lives of sustaining and productive citizenship. Our residents attend public school, nearby universities or trade schools and participate in school, church and campus activities.

Arms of Hope does not receive federal or state grants. Instead, Arms of Hope relies on caring individuals, businesses, civic groups, churches, and foundations for funding and volunteer support.

Our Mission

We transform the lives of disadvantaged families, children, and youth by providing support in a nurturing, Christian environment. We provide a message of hope to at-risk children and single Mothers.

Our Vision

Reaching generations by helping children and families find a future filled with hope and promise.

Our History

On April 17, 2009, two great organizations consolidated to form Arms of Hope. Medina Children’s Home and Boles Children’s Home both have rich histories and share identical programs and missions. This partnership brings with it over 160 years of combined experience in caring for children and operates on 650 plus acres. Although both campuses were originally established as homes for orphans, they have expanded to serve the needs of at-risk children and single mothers. Boles and Medina have served thousands of children and single-mother families. Since their founding, both Boles and Medina have had a strong commitment to Christian principles and the spiritual development of the children and mothers in their care.

How Our Programs Work

Together Program

We help motivated single mothers and their children transition into successful, independent futures by providing: parenting skills, career training, and a home in a peaceful and safe environment.

Family Outreach

We provide an opportunity to connect families with resources to deal with hardships and challenges that often stress a family to the point where they need hope and restoration. Our guidance helps our clients find a successful path toward independence.

College and Career

We assist Arms of Hope High School graduates with support through their college or trade school experience or into their first job. Sometimes we provide accommodations for graduates who have not yet found a place to call home.

Residential Childcare

We meet the physical, emotional, educational, and spiritual needs of disadvantaged children. We provide a warm, family-like atmosphere where house parents function as Mother and Father figures.

Right Start

We help expectant single mothers prepare for motherhood by providing them with essential shelter. We help them with real-life choices by giving them the necessities and skills they need to care for their newborn babies.

Receiving Assistance

Need Help

Are you a single mother who needs shelter, necessities, and life skills training? If so, our arms are wide open.
