About Us

• Mission: My sister’s place (msp) shelters, supports and empowers survivors of domestic violence and their children, while providing leadership and education to build a supportive community. as dc’s oldest domestic violence shelter, msp has been serving survivors of domestic violence in dc for nearly 45 years. msp is unique in offering a full continuum of care, including emergency shelter, transitional-to-permanent housing, wrap-around supportive services, and unconditional cash transfer programs. msp also engages the community through educational trainings and events, and targeted outreach to the latinx community.
