The All Saints St. Vincent de Paul Society is part of the parish’s social ministry. The Society is open to volunteers who are interested in serving people in need. This ministry is one of the ways that the parish helps serve the needs of the poor.
For more than one hundred years, All Saints Catholic Church has been located at 215 East Tenth Street in the Historic Heights area in Houston, Texas.
The parish parking lot is located behind the Administration Building. Additional parking can be used along 10th Street, Harvard Street, and Cortlandt Street.
We, the People of God, of All Saints Catholic Community in the Heights, in response to our baptismal call, endeavor to live the great commandment taught by Jesus: “Love one another as I have loved you.”
As the People of God, we commit ourselves to:
To be faithful stewards of the time, talent, and treasure that God has given each of us by imitating Jesus.
Donations of non-perishable food items including canned goods, bread, eggs, cereal, rice, beans, pasta, etc., as well as toiletry items such as soap, shampoo, toilet paper, etc. can be dropped off at the pantry itself during hours of operation or through the parish office. There are also designated baskets in the church for drop-off. These will all be included as part of the food distribution to the needy. Monetary support is also appreciated and can be made through the parish office.
In 1955, the Houston Council of Churches launched IM’s predecessor organization, the Church Welfare Bureau, to organize the Protestant community to minister to those in need. In 1964, the Bureau was reorganized as Protestant Charities of Houston, a group that was joined and strengthened by the Jewish community. Officially chartered as Houston Metropolitan Ministries in 1969, IM has been a leading force in bringing together people of all faiths to serve people in need in the greater Houston area. IM was renamed Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston in 1992 to reflect support from increasingly diverse faith traditions.
Monday-Thursday from 9:00 a.m.- 10:30 a.m. and Wednesday evenings from 6 pm – 7:30 pm. Rent and Utility Assistance is now being processed on Mondays from 9:00 a.m.-10:30 a.m.
A group of dedicated volunteers operate All Saints St. Vincent de Paul Society’s Food Pantry. Some of the ways our volunteers help are by coordinating food orders from the Houston Food Bank, keeping the pantry shelves stocked, and working with clients (“friends”). Volunteers also deliver groceries to friends who are physically unable to come to the pantry.
